Had two good deer come in with 5 min left of shooting light. Huge bodies and for the life of me couldn’t make out their horns. Time to buy some really good quality binocs. I know This is the only reason I couldnt Make em out. I have A cheap Nikon 10x50 that’s probably 10 years old. I cant Let this happen again. If you guys don’t mind throwing some suggestions, what’s in your opinion the best low light bino I can But for say under 300$ ish? Thanks guys.

Vortex is pretty good for the money. My cousin has a pair he bought on sale and they are great in low light.

Spend $1000 and don’t look back. Buy a pair of Zeiss and that’s all you will need for the next 20 years. I was in the same spot and after buying several and returning them I have never been more pleased. I would have gotten Swarovski if I had the change. HD glass and German glass. Nothing can compete. Even Vortex is 1k when you get to the top of the line. It’s a lot but just save up and you won’t regret it. I bought both Binos and a Zeiss scope and they have made a superior difference in lot light conditions.
I truly believe you get what you pay for.

I broke down and bought a pair of Swarovskis twenty years ago...a decision I've never regretted. Invest in your success...

Another fan of German glass, Steiners in the $300-$400 range are pretty good glass. Good enough for the US army when I was in 25+ years ago.

Buy the great binocs and then the weak spot will be your scope. Guess how I know that. The great binocs can cost a ton of money, but worth it. I’d buy the smallest lightest 10x40’s or 10x50’s that Leica, Zeiss, or Swarovski make.
Many years ago, my binocs (Leica) let me find the big buck at dusk. Man, he was something, but I could not find him in the scope. Back to the binocs, and he was the 5th deer to the left of the big oak tree. Back to the gun and counted to the 5th and shot him. But they had swapped places and I shot a big doe. Get some whiskey in my cousin and he’ll still tell that story. He needs a dose of Alzheimer’s. And yes, I upgraded my scope after that.

I’ve got a set of nikons and I can see before and after legal light. Not that the high end ones aren’t good or aren’t better, but how good do you need/want?

Nikon Trailblazer 10x42. Not expensive and I see well. No way I'm spending 1k on binoculars, unless my eyes fail me and I have to.

Steiner predator binoculars are reasonably priced and have great light gathering capabilities.

Man. Thank you guys for the suggestions. I’m fixing to buy a vortex scope for that rifle. I guess I’ll have to look at some German glass as well. Honestly I dont Mind spending the money but I just Didn’t think it could take that much. Hopefully I can Find a great deal on Black Friday.

Careful choosing a low end Vortex. I bought 2 this year under $200 and they are the worst low light scopes I have ever had. Great in daylight but low light they are bad.

I have the leupold Mojave 10x50, and I really like them. I paid for them for sure, but they've been with it. Going on 8 years now.

Meopta HD 10x40. Cry once for 800-1000.
Not only will you enjoy all the things you can’t see now, your eye sight will thank you for it at the end of several days of glassing. No more blurred vision and worn out eyes.

But to answer your question about good for under $300, Vortex black diamond. And their warranty if you drop them out of the stand as I did is outstanding.

Zeiss. The Conquest HD 10x42 can be had for about 1K. Best money I have ever spent for hunting and viewing wildlife. Great at first and last light.

In keeping with your price range, Vortex Diamondback. I bought a pair 4-5 years ago, they'll definitely do what you want. Here's the good part, Black Friday at Bass Pro, $125.00. Gotta be there Friday morning. I paid like $240.00. Between those and my Leupold VX5-HD, I don't have low light issues.
An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

It amazes me people ask for $300 recommendations and people say you have to spend 3x that. For the money the Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 10x40 binoculars are awesome. They’re $200-240 depending on where you buy them. Clarity and low light performance is excellent. Color on them is very poor which in my opinion is irrelevant for hunters. They do make very poor bird watching binos due to the color issue.

So far I really Like the steiners for about 450. I will say, I’m not gonna hold to that budget. But I wont Go over 1000ish, that is for sure. So all opinions are welcome lol. I’m thinking I’ll try to find the most bang for your buck on Black Friday.
