Two flooding rains just about destroyed my food plot and wiped clean all the acorn flats along the nearby creek. The deer have pretty much vacated areas that would have otherwise offered them plenty of natural browse.

I thought the exact same thing. I once saw a guy fishing in a flooded soccer field in Dallas, off White rock creek near Skillman and Abrams roads. He had a stronger full of channel cat. Weird to see.

According to the water line on the tree it was on. One inch. I was very lucky about that because it was a brand new camera.

Same thing at our place. Water has dropped some since 2 weeks ago, but still can't get to my bow sets. I have 6 cameras out, one I know for sure went under water. The rest, I hope the ridge I had them on was still high enough. It sucks because I put in my vacation a while back for this week and still can't hunt my stands.

Wow, not good. On the bright side it may concentrate the deer in certain areas for you.

I was able to recover 3 cameras this morning. The one I knew for sure was under water, made it and still working. The one I figured was safe, went under. Drying it out now. Hopefully when I put new batteries in, it will come on. The third one, water level got right at the camera. Got some great pics of wood ducks!!! All 3 had at least 2 shooters on them, but mostly at night. Just have to figure out where to set up to catch them on their feet during daylight.

The flooded bottoms always helps the Woodies. It hurts the deer because they get pushed to outlying properties which are more subject to being hunted. Our property in Upshur county is same way with in bottom land and oak flats with lots more sightings of deer up on the upper pastures and small wood lots.
