We are just seeing if there is any interest out there for new clients. Our family has leased our land for hunting for the last 35 + years, we know this is a sweet spot, and so did the gentleman that leased it for the last 35+ years. As we change over Management and update things around the ranch, we are curious if there is any interest out there for someone who may want the opportunity to lease. Is there enough interest to apply for preference programs, someone who may want to do all seasons, archery, muzzleoader, and rifle seasons. Turkey, bear, elk, and mule deer. And would it be worth doing this independently as a family, or get a licensed outfitter to run things? Any thoughts??? Thanks.

I would think that if you wanted to take full advantage of all seasons and optimize hunting opportunities on the ranch, then someone would need to oversee it and schedule all of it. A hunting operations manager or something similar. Or you could contract an outfitter and let him worry with it after he writes you the check for the whole enchilada. I'm betting that it wouldn't be difficult to find someone to take you up on it.

I know several folks in that region that lease and some that run the whole thing as a family. I know one family in particular that I bet would be more than happy to talk it over with you, good down to earth longtime residents. Been some time since I spoke with them, but they have done it themselves for at least 30 years that I know of, so they have probably dealt with every facet and detail. Probably close enough to you, that you could drive over and visit, like I said, just damn fine, hard working ranching people .
