 Deer Hunting near College Station

Hi All. Thanks for letting me join. Sorry for a couple of dumb questions from Australia: 1. We're staying with friends near College Station next year (I hope) - any suggestions for deer hunting (prob 3 -5 days) for my 15 y.o son and I (including hiring weapons); and ( most importantly) 2. Is there anything nearby that my wife and daughter can do while we are hunting (thinking: horse riding, mustering cattle, glamping ...shopping  Will plan sometime in football season coz I'd love to see a college (or NFL) game. Loving watching Aussie Michael Dickson punting for the Seahawks, BTW. Thanks in advance for any advice. Cheers!

 Post your hunting request in the outfitters and guides section of this site. I would also search for ranches offering guided hunting around college station. Make sure you request multiple referrals from past customers. Some ranches will have non hunting activities available for the wife. Shopping is a no go around this area. If you come in through Houston world class shopping there and great cuisine.

I've been to quite a few college football campuses and going to an A&M game is hard to beat. (and Im a Baylor fan).
