Anyone have any info on the deer movement for the last couple of days for Houston County?

Not much going on from what I'm hearing. I'll be there tomorrow.

Rut activity is better than the past several years. Have seen mature
bucks on their feet all week. They seem to have started the roaming phase as two
of the mature bucks are deer I haven’t seen before. Now is the time to be there.

Me and the wife both killed bucks chasing on opening day, and my brother in law tagged one on Tuesday chasing as well. Rut came early and strong this year

The cold, overnight temps and killing frosts have the deer hitting feeders much harder now.

Activity at our feeders have completely died off. Corn piling up and with little human activity at lease. No ATVs zooming all over place or hunting heavily, weird... we are near Arbor in Houston county.

As I noted in my earlier post, we saw good feeder activity last week when the temps dropped into the 20’s at night. But it has dropped off significantly after the nights turned much warmer.

We’re giving them a break right now but intend to hit them hard after Thanksgiving.

Saw a few doe at the feeder and a young 8 one evening. Seemed fairly slow.
