Anyone seeing much? Have a new pipeline cutting my place in half with workers going 7 days a week so I havenít put in much effort. Did sit a few hours Sunday afternoon but got blanked. Drove by a feeder by the pipeline on that way and it had been cleared. Guess the workers arenít bothering much!

Heard there was some chasing, but havenít been out enough to see it myself.

Anyone having any luck? Workers told me they get 3 days off for Thanksgiving so Iím planning to get a lot of blind time those days.

Has not been great at our place, hogs are everywhere. I have seen bucks with does, there was a nice buck with a doe all day on 51 right across from our place at FM3259.

That buck was still there this morning tending that doe. It's been slow on our side of the river as well. But my son did do a little work Sunday evening on some pigs.......

Mature bucks paired up already for the most part. High tide for me seemed to be Wednesday after opening weekend into the second weekend. Mature bucks were searching hard at that time. Since then mainly knot heads pushing them around trying to get lucky.

I was able to harvest this buck last week. He came in hot downwind of some doe that had been feeding all morning.

Thatís a great buck Leonardo! Tons of character!

I moved a couple of feeders around last weekend, away from the commotion of the workers. Will head out this weekend to see if the deer have found them yet. One is in a spot that used to be my favorite set up, just had gotten away from it the last few years (its in a corner and the neighbors all seem to hunt right there, not real safe).

Have two places I hunt in south Texas and have gotten a bit lazy in Wise the last couple of years. Mainly use Wise for the kids and that right of way sure gives good shooting lanes. Just tough to hunt it with workers everywhere!

Workers seem pretty spread out. Have buddies in Chico with the same issue. If theyíre all the way to Cottondale, Iíd say my place is about midway between the two.

I hunted some oil land in Wyoming once. The workers were there every day and the deer ignored them. You could drive right up to them.

I think the same is happening at my place. At 2pm there were no less than 10 workers banging around, large equipment digging and beeping, etc. Iíd worked on a feeder thatís close enough to where they were working that the workers would get sprayed by corn when the timer went off. I ran it 2-3 times before I was done, so there was a lot of corn on the ground. Not sure when the workers left, but that feeder was mostly cleaned out when I checked it a bit after 6pm.

Kenny, I have seen mature bucks chasing for about a week & 1/2, should be good thru Thanksgiving like normal. The cold weather seems to have helped time deer movement better and the ankle deep acorns are starting to dry up.

Deer seem to far and away prefer the oats and wheat right now over corn and protein mix I have, then my damn fruit trees smh. In any event deer movement is way up right now as bucks are pushing, had a nice one on a doe outside my garden yesterday.
