Me either. That's what the shell deflector is for. If an AR is ejecting brass at the 6:00 position, there's a problem with the rifle.

Yeah, needs more gas. And then, it probably would not cycle. Proper ejection is at 3 or 4 o'clock. Shoulders square to the rifle, and the brass never touches the shooter.

Still laughing, I’ve seen it many times and it’s happened to me..... while in basic.

The fix is simple really. Buy a LH AR.

He should buy a custom rifle to fix something that happened to you back in your glory days? It never happened to me in basic, or AIT, or qualifying, live fires, combat infiltration course, or any other time.

I’d say I’m living in my glory days right now..... I’ve got good kids, good friends, a better paying job than I ever could even imagine and no health issues. Don’t forget..... a LH AR.

If I was RH, I'd get a LH AR and set it up ambi so I could see into the ejection port. Fortunately I'm in my right mind. So I don't have to.

I built a couple of "lefties" for a buddy, one in 6.8 and one in 223 Wylde, both using ARP barrels.

I used Stag upper receivers and don't remember the bolt manufacturer off the top of my head.
Also used ambi safety and he added a BAD lever later.

I have seen a couple of different side charging uppers that are ambi.
You do need a dedicated left eject bolt for whatever upper you choose.

Both uppers functioned just like any other AR except it craps brass out left side.

Cheers,
