The Gristmill In Gruene has a really good one, I have had the one at Goodsons in Tomball that is often said to be the best. Although it is good, it’s not my favorite. Locally, Neri’s has one that is good. It won’t be long until the Mary’s followers chime in voting for theirs.

Hilltop cafe in Fredericksburg has a good one, but it is pricey.
Moonshine Grill in Austin also has a tasty one.

The Bavarian Grill in Plano.
But they call it Jager Schnitzel.
And serve with brown gravy with mushrooms.
Some may disqualify it for these things but the steak itself is outstanding.

Murns in archer city. The diablo, topped with jalapeño and queso. They also serve traditional with cream gravy, but that queso is a nice twist.

Ringgold? The town I always wonder why I have to slow down through that stretch? No kidding. Used to be more there before the 2006 fire that burned half the town. It's the gateway to OK... hear there is a casino just over the bridge.
