I've never been a particular fan of DA in an auto pistol; the "krunchenticker" makes first shot center hits slower / more difficult. Since the 70s, a 1911 or clone has been my go-to.

But I'm old school. Heck, when not carrying a 1911 I'm wearing an N frame Smith wheelgun... cool

So how do you get along with that double action trigger?

On the Smith? Well enough, but it's like what it takes to get to Carnegie Hall...practice, practice, practice. From surrender, I can consistently put the first round on target in 1.4 to 1.6. Not blistering speed by any stretch, but serviceable.

Another vote for the Ruger LC9s. Apples and oranges compared to the first run.

LC9s is a striker fire, very good and is what I carry. The Security9 and the LCP II have similar hammer fired triggers, the best of the hammer fired too since hammer is 3/4 ways back from the start. I love my Security 9

My wife and I both carry Kahr's!!! She has PM9 and I have the basic version CM9. LOVE the DA on them! Long pull with NO safety!

I've pocket carried a P365 in a Sticky holster a few times. It carries well, but I prefer a Vedder LT holster.

To me, the P365 has a great trigger for a carry gun. As does the P320c. However, they are not going to compete with a SAO.

I just bought a Ruger EC9s it was really affordable, however it has what I would say is better trigger than any glock I have shot. Straight out of the box that is. The reset is a little long, but I was able to produce 3” groups at 10 yards with it every time I shot a mag. I’m very happy with the little pocket sized pistol especially at the $229 price tag it’s offered at. Just for clarification this is the striker fired version not the hammer fired version like the lc9 is.

Such a personal decision, but I agree with Crews -- I love my HK VP9SK...amazing trigger out of the box
