Well, I’m excited to say, but I’m in the process of planning my bachelor party and wanted to see what ideas people had for the Rockport area? I’d like to keep my cost per person below $300, if possible and just have a hunt as I believe we have our lodging figured out. Also, does it matter whether you go in the early morning or afternoon? I hear that you can hunt in the afternoons down there. And if anyone happens to know a particular reason why we should not be hunting Rockport and should elsewhere, please let me know. Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide!

Haiden Mensik of South Texas Hunting Outfitters who is on here is doing hunts out that area for less than that. He also offer a blast n cast but I am not sure how much per person that will run.

Capt. Brent Hopkins operates Ace in the Hole out of Rockport. He also does a Cast and Blast combo. 4 of us used him last year and he was great.

If they put you in an open water blind ( which they will ) your limit will be 2 red heads,,, it is unlikely you will get a shot at any other type of duck ----------- find a guide that will put you in a blind in "the marsh".

Herbie, how much experience duck hunting does Haiden have?

Drifter, did your group limit out? Did he just put you in the middle of the bay?
