If hundreds of thousands are involved, economies of scale will take over and it won't matter what cartridge is selected. The mags won't be modified, they'll be constructed to the new specs from day one. Heck, we could build an entirely new platform and it wouldn't cost anymore than what they're spending already.

The Japanese figured out during WWII that 6.5mm round just wasn't very good military round. Too small, they switched to the 7.7 round.


Retired U. S. Army, which means I still have to work to make a living.
