Hornady, Winchester, Remington brass
CCI 200
36.5 gr H-Varget (or more)

It'll come out like a bat out of hell. My 55 gr load was making 3780 fps out of a 24" barrel. Brass is on 5 firings.

34.7 gr AR Comp will do well too with 52gr bullets.

Doesn't seem like my 1:14 barrel likes 55gr or larger bullets.

Lads listed above are good ones for sure. I have been using Varget since it came out in the 22-250 and 7mm-08.

The 1:14 22-250 I had was a 20 inch barrel Sako Forester hunter carbine and a Ruger Tang safety Varmint with a heavy 24 inch barrel. Both shot the 60gr Nosler solid base very well and the Sako handled the 60gr Partition very well. Bullet profile "length: is the key to heavire bullets in a slower twist barrel. The Sako even did well with the Speer 70gr but it is shorter than many 55 gr bullets due to its profile and in the Sako it had to be pushed hard to stabilize. That wad fine with me since I used it inside 250 yards on deer and hogs.

I had a 1:14 shooting 55 gr Sierra Game Kings. It was a stout load, no doubt. But it did not hurt brass, rifle, or me.

I'm using 36.3gr of Varget with a 50gr Hornady V-max with CCI200 in one rifle and 35.6 gr of varget in another. Oner rifle shoots a .2 inch 10rd group the 35.6 load shoots a .3 inch 10rd group.

I'm surprised that there's that much left of the crow. I bet it was pretty spectacular when you hit it.

Try 36.5 gr of H380. Only about 3650 fps, but in my old Rem. 700 ADL, with a 24" 1-14, and the 52 gr Sierra Matchking, it will make a 5 shot group, you can cover with a penny.
