Shot this 8 which I will attach pics below.

Sunday at 10:38 way behind the feeder I see what appears to be the back of a pig walking through the tall grass, anticipating that it will do like 95% of all the other piggies it will turn left and head to the feeder to look for corn outside the panels. So I grab my camera to take some pics and to my amazement it is not a pig and it just kept going straight off the property.

So what do you think it is? I was guessing it is a huge badger but really have no clue, sorry these were the only pics I could take before it skedaddled





Walked back there briefly saw this scat, have no clue what it belongs to?

Shoot it with the gun next time.

WT would be my guess based off of color, hair length and shape.

First light this morning (Monday) had a couple of does at the feeder they pigged out and left then at 7:40 this guy comes strolling down to the feeder and finally strolled away at 8:15, watched him for 35 minutes and there begs the question would you have shot him?



He pigged out big time.

Don’t know what critter that first couple of pics is. Yes. I think that buck is old enough to be a shooter, however
he isn’t so old that he couldn’t use another year to max out

Tail looks like an anteater.

On the first pictures I don't know what it is therefore I wouldn't shoot it. That eight I would have shot and been happy about it. He looks mature and he might be better next year but then again he might not show up either.

Not sure on that 1st animal, but knowing you have hogs that's what I'll go with. You should not go out there for a few weeks while I hunt that stand, I would feel better if I knew you where safe out there.

I am 95% sure it is not a pig, if any of you have a real good computer save the second picture and zoom in. What I thought I saw and what appears pretty clear when zooming in is a long hairy tail, no pig that I know of has one of those and I have shot and seen my fair share of pigs. In that pic you can see it is to long and low to be a porker

Looks like a pig when viewing it on my 40" PC monitor.
In pic 1 and 2, there is a piece of weed or grass in each pic that makes it look like a strange tail.
In pic 3 you can see a more distinct pig tail and snout and maybe he was dropping that poo you saw so pig is humped up to drop it?

They are much easier to clean when you shoot them with a camera and you know you could have just as easily done it with a rifle!

The first animal - no, I'm just not sure enough to shoot based on those pics.
The buck - yes, I would be perfectly fine to have him on my wall.

I think the first is a pig but would have to see it trough the thermal to verify.
