Anyone know why the north duck zone starts a week later than the other two zones?

decided that since the south zone typically experiences better hunting early, and the north zone hunters normally don't hold good numbers until almost thanksgiving some years, that how it is now gives hunters in both zones "better" hunting days

You should have some birds coming down this week or next. We're starting to ice up here in Wyoming and nice cold nights all this week.
