Has anyone had luck using a trail cam to watch their pond for birds? Hoping to use some technology to keep an eye on things since work/family makes it difficult to get out on a regular basis to check for birds and still have time to actually hunt. If so, what brand/model worked well for you? Thanks for the input!

It depends on the size and shape of the pond. My brother just setup his cell cam yesterday. It's hard to find the right spot that covers most of the pond, but in this case I think we got it high enough that it will work.

He had it on another pond but it was too round in shape and big to really make anything out - too tunnel visioned. This being a log smaller and having a point helps.

Resolution could be better.

You might also look into an Arlo camera. You can login live and get notifications and use it through your cell plan
