I know there were lots of bucks harvested today, across our great state, but seems like movement was slow! My buddy got a good 12 point in Fredericksburg but haven’t heard much more... Anyone else wanna bet tomorrow morning will produce way more?

I only was 2 deer today and those were this morning. A young buck and a doe. Missed a coyote this morning but lucked out and killed one this evening(could have been the same one). To many coyotes this year and a very poor fawn crop due to it. Worst in the last 7 years now.

There wasn't much activity this morning in parker county but this evening blew up! I saw 15 different deer up until dark including a couple of nice prospects for next year chasing does all over.

Bucks are chasing near Breckenridge for me. Lots of activity. I just couldn't pull the trigger on opening day unless it was Mr Big!

I’m one that has the blues from a walk of shame. TCs showed a completely different perspective leading up to today. In the end, I didn’t even see a freakin squirrel

Saw 12 yesterday about half being bucks. 2 were nice but they didn’t stick around long enough to age/judge. Only 1 deer stopped at the feeder. The rest never came close to it. Need a good cold snap. Hunting in Schleicher county

I saw just about everything yesterday morning, according to the TC, that is coming to the feeder, 'cept for some nocturnal pigs and a few occasional axis. My neighbor, that wants to buy my place and is having a hard time with me not just rolling over and saying "Sure, right now, whatever you want to pay," decided he needed to sprinkle out a few cubes to his cattle within line-of-sight and about 400 yards from my feeder, 15 minutes after my feeder went off. On opening day. I'm sure he thinks he's giving me "the blues" a lot worse than he is. What goes around comes around buddy.

Nothing moved over at my lease in Wood County. I did see a nice size rabbit with my IR last night. No pigs either.

Don't you hate that crap creekrunner. It will come back on him for sure when he pushes a giant your way!
It was slow in franklin county. I have a big creek that runs bewtween my plots and the woods. It's been so high it seems to be keeping stuff on the other side. Shot a pig so far and saw one very young buck. Out here now though. Good luck guys and gals.

Didn't see anything yesterday in Montague county, and the wind was up. Plus my feeder was clogged. I gave up and dumped it (should have done that weeks ago). It was clogged with a huge bunch of wet corn and maggots. Someone shot the top clamp band last year with a .22. I didn't think it went through the barrel, but it must have opened enough of a hole for all this rain to get in. Brought it home and swapped barrels, then took it back today. Shot a spike who came to get the corn I spilled out of it. Then I put up the new feeder and fixed up the pen. All this rain had left it pretty saggy.

I've seen quite a few bucks but slow overall. Our whole area is so green it's a giant foodplot.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

Wind was up saturday morning, saw a few small does and more than my share of young fork bucks. Saturday afternoon pigs came in to ruin my hunt. this morning I saw almost nothing.

From 5AM - 4PM I saw 7 does in the DCNF. Was DEEP in the woods though so had to start heading back towards the truck before it started getting dark...wasn't particularly trying to be quiet on my way back and I came around this really tall brush - like taller than me and thick - couldn't see through it. Anyways, I came around it and almost had a damn heart attack - so did the buck that was bedded down - he popped up and darted out of there so fast that he made the roadrunner look slow. Pretty young one, wouldn't have been a legal shoot. I mean, I can't say I've ever been that close to whitetail that wasn't dead - it couldn't have been more than 15 feet. No idea how I got that close and why he didn't hear me coming, like I said I wasn't being particularly quiet.
Saw a coyote and a bobcat...a couple of squirrel... that's about it.

I don't know anyone who got one around us. Pretty slow on the shooting front. Normal for us.
