Figured I’d join the trend since everyone else seems to be posting county updates. Game cams were promising in the week leading up to today, but so far we have seen no activity. Hunted this morning — in blind by 6 am and out at 10 — and have been in blinds since 3 pm.

Wind is picking up, which could be good or bad. Heard 5 shots this morning on neighboring property which was unexpected. I’d like to think hogs but who knows. Our lease typically has 20-30 hogs and haven’t seen any today.

Things are wet out here. Great for seeing traffic but loud for stalking and miserable for getting stuck. Already had to pull out another guy today.

I had a lot of activity this morning after sunrise, lot of doe and yearlings but only three bucks which were all young. I am sitting in a stand that is heavily wooded so I am protected from the wind, hopefully it works out but nothing moving yet.

Big ole goose egg today and not just on a harvest but even seeing anything on four kegs. Unfortunately momma told me I need to be home tomorrow, so that’s it for me this weekend.
