It’s this three paddle prickly pear that looks like a doe head and ears tripping me up. Been there for years and looks like a doe every single time.

Glad I’m not the only one who sees imaginary deer in the dark

Heck I see imaginary deer in the daylight. I’m an expert at trimming mesquite branches to look like a set of 200” antlers

Took a guy with me years ago. It was pretty tough to convince him not to shoot the sawhorse the LO had on the dam of the pond.

I still like the excitement even if it's my eyes playing tricks on me in the dark

I once spent two hours sneaking up on an elk that turned out to be a log. Spotted it with binos in daylight from half a mile away..

I made a good stalk and got really close without spooking it at least!

Been there. Spotted a NICE mule deer on the side of a hill. Pulled up rifle with scope man it had a great big rack. Placed the cross hair right where it should be and touched one off. Fell like a rock. Crossed over the the ravine. Got the the biggest DOE, was standing next to a dead tree with beautiful branches on it. Oh sh!t.
