This is a new property for me and for my landowner who recently planted it in winter wheat. It has a feature of having a gas and oil well pad in the middle of it and for the most part, nearly at the highest point on the property. It is a larger pad measuring something like 130 yards by 60 yards and aside from a battery of 6 tanks, it also has a variety of other machinery and a gas compressor that runs 24/7 and is extremely loud. The pad is covered in gravel which can be noisy to walk on, but the compressor makes so much noise that gravel noisy and such is well covered. I showed up two nights ago just before dark and saw no obvious signs of rooting, which is good. There were trails across the wheat field that had spout and was now several inches tall. I didn't bother checking any of the tracks as I figured some were probably hogs and the field was saturated from all of the rain. As the pad is situated, I have to walk from end to end in order to scan the property. On one of my circuits, I spotted hogs below the pad. The problem was, in order to see many of them, I had to step off the gravel onto the perimeter skirting of soil used to build up the pad and being waterlogged, that soil was very soft and my shooting sticks kept sinking. Once situated (which took a few attempts), the shooting could start...

Great Video (as always) Ive Sub'd your youtube channel and enjoy watching the hog hunts. You actually help me decide to get a 6.5 grendel for my hunts (mostly deer and hog hunt in texas 1-2 times a year) Cant wait to take it out this year and see how it does! Keep the videos coming! Good stuff!
