While I only received a quarter of an inch yesterday, pasture conditions remain extremely wet. There are numerous wet weather springs that are flowing and water seeping out of places that I have never seen since I moved here in 1985. I recommend to all coming this weekend to leave your pickups in camp and walk or drive your UTV's or ATV's.
Please be careful on the highways as traffic is always heavy for this weekend.
If you have a chance stop by Burnham Brothers and say "Hi". I am planning to attend the Hunter's Blowout Saturday evening.
Adios,
Gary

We missed the rains here last night in western Goliad county and west of here but it is still plenty wet in low spots in the areas I have been in this past week. I can get around anywhere on my places for the most part in a Ranger or truck. Live Oak County is a bit different with standing water and heavy clay soils there. I came home today on Hwy 59 from Beeville (heading east) and was shocked at how few of hunters I saw on the highway. I was expecting it to be heavy traffic but it was very light considering the cooler weather ahead.

Gary this is that dry creek bed we crossed going to the far east side of the ranch. It's been running for two weeks now, same thing we have water coming from everywhere.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

It is the same in south San Saba county, water coming from every place. Have to have the 4 wheel drive and then don't drive in certain places.
