Please don't roast me for this....We just started getting some hogs at our place and have trapped a few. My question is when is the best time and how to hunt them? My guess is at night from all the night kill pictures i see but what is the best way? Just throw some corn out and wait with a green light?

All different conditions. Had day time, mostly late afternoon, just after dark (light required), dark thirty. Motion light on feeder, used driveway monitor sounds with movement, adjustable flashlight zoom style. Spot and stalk thermal or NV.

Put out a lot of corn, setup a camera to see when they’re coming in (but they’re not always consistent) get a green or red light, good optic and blast them. You could always go NV or Thermal, but that ain’t cheap.

motion light on feeder, try and set feeder for after dark and/or before light. with cooler days ahead should get some daytime movement also.

My set up. AR scope over barrell with green lazer under. Zeroed 20yrds.
At creek (little tree cover) had corn feeder & deer food plot with cellular lights set up in oval pattern, it gets darker. Pasture the had corn & few other things, could usualy make out hog threw scope with little moon light. Leaning tree stand, just inside edge tree line, roughly 15-20yrd shot left & right. Corn food plot, creek.

This is a good, low-cost solution. Hogs will quickly get used to even a white motion light, and that's all you need to shoot 'em at night. The other good piece of advice was to get a game camera. That'll tell you if it's even worth the time to sit out at night and wait. My days of simply sitting out most or all of the night hoping that hogs show up are over. If there's nothing showing on the the game cam, I'm not gonna be there. If there is something showing, you might get lucky but hogs are often unpredictable.

Last hog took, was use of game came, was little late showing up, actualy they showed up early, they were already thar, didnt get ta me blind, Hog down...

Motion activated feeder light, that driveway alarm is an awesome thing, have corn out regularly where you see signs of em. A trail cam is nice to have. They should be moving in the daytime on cooler days, night time on warmer days or if there's hunting pressure from the neighbors, they'll probobly move at night also
