That deer is old enough to get shot and old enough to wait most of the season to try to get.

5.5 maybe 6.5. Mid to upper 150's. May break 160 if the beams are longer than I think. Good looking buck.

That is a good example of a shooter. I hope you can get to him.
Our deer are only a fraction of that body mass and antler size at 6-7 years old.

Update,
This photo was taken on October 22 at 9:30am. He stayed in the foodplot until 9:50am. At least that is the last photo I have of him in there, Got my fingers crossed for opening day. That is if I can beat my wife at getting him.

Beautiful deer. I wouldn't even ask myself how old in ETx if he happened across me because he wouldn't ever make it to the next season regardless if I shot him or not.

Beauty of a deer. Good luck getting him.

5.5. 155 ish. Good tine length but not heavy. Heck of a deer for most places in East Texas.

Thanks, Billy

Yes I should have because Oct 22nd is my birthday. But like most of us older generation, it was a work day so I went to work.

Heck I was free all day and would have gladly sub to sit in the deer blind for ya! grin I will still say that buck is upper 150's and might get into low 160's.
