I have a set of Leupold BX4 Hd binoculars that I use all throughout hunting season I have used these in New Mexico elk hunting to Whitetail on my own lease. A couple of weeks ago I decided to send a few rounds down the barrel of my arrival to make sure everything is still dead on and I decided to do this from my elevator blind! To make a long story short it was in the high 40s that morning and as soon as I opened my binoculars to look down range they Fogged up. I’ve never had this issue with these binoculars however inside of a blind it happened to be warmer than it was outside I guess I can expect this.
What are you guys do when your binoculars fog up? Is there anything I can do to them so they will not do this ?

I wipe them with my shirt. You can carry a little lense cloth with you.
Optics are going to fog on the outside in humidity when you remove the caps.

Just Google how to keep mirror from fogging up. Shaving cream, vinegar & water 50/50 mix, liquid soap. Had this same issue with binos tucked in jacket then pull out on cooler days. They also make a spray for eye glasses to keep from fogging up.

Seems like there was a product that contain beeswax that we used to use for eye glasses fogging up. I'm sure there's a better Modern equivalent or just wiping them down for the clean cloth.

There are many brands of anti fog wipes that come individually packaged like alcohol wipes. They work well. My bushnell binos with rainguard are among a few I’ve seen that will only fog for seconds then create droplets of water that are not an issue to see through. I’m sure many brands have a similar coating. We use the anti fog wipes at work. They’re cheap enough and work well. You do have to reapply regularly though. Prep them before going out and you should never see an issue. If you wipe the glass after prep it removes the coating and you have to reapply. If you can keep your fingers off the lenses it will last much longer. We use Bausch & Lomb at work.

You can also spit on them and wipe it clean. Old divers trick on mask.

Last weekend I got out of my truck while it was still dark to chase hogs. At first light I pulled up my scope to look and was completely fogged up. Reached in my pocket for some kleenex and wiped the lens...must have been the kind with lotion...NOT good!

I have a pair that tends to fog up, too. What helps for me is putting the top of the eye pieces at your brow and bend your head slightly down so you're looking slightly "up" with your eyes to see through the 'nocs. Just that little gap between the bridge of your nose and the eye pieces may keep them from fogging. Mine always fogged at the eye-piece end. If it's the other end fogging this obviously isn't going to help.

They all fog up on the outside under the right curcumstances. It's not a Leupold issue.

I've tried various anti-fog treatments with very little success. Best option is to keep a lens cloth handy and avoid holding the glasses to your eyes for too long. Avoid breathing on the glass if possible and leave a gap for air circulation.
