Butler creek are fine if you're not real hard on them.

Vortex defender are a little better for not much more money.

I think the Vortex caps are more than a little better. I have them on 3 or 4 scopes and I have Butler Creeks on 3 or 4 scopes. The Defender caps are superior.

Yeah I probably sold them short a bit. If I was buying new, vortex defender are the cheapest caps I'd buy. I'd go more expensive than those if I was certain I was going to keep the scope a long time.

Leupold covers that screw on are fantastic but pricey. Butler Creek is a POS and such a pain in the [censored] I’d rather have nothing at all than use them.
