Not alot to report yet. Tank B has ducks. Tank b is the first tank to see ducks and the last. Ducks are at this tank all day. Looked like greys. Mallards on lake 2. They flew like locals though. Haven't been to lakes 1 or 2-8 yet.
No matter how high a duck flies a hammer still breaks a window.

Several reports from friends show ducks making use of the flooded timber on area lakes. Not sure what lake levels will do over the next two weeks but activity on 5 of the 8 lakes I scout.

Scouted tank B again. Population has increased to its usual holding capacity (approx 15). These ducks seem to winter here and appear to be here a week earlier than last year. B does not get hunting pressure. I use it as a berameter for general movement. No chance to scout lakes as I took my daughter out to harass deer. I did hear cranes fly over this afternoon.
Tank A, which is another non hunted lake has not yet seen any itenerate ducks. It does not hold steady populations as the resident geese run them off. I do usually see greenheads about the second week of Nov.
Tank D is a private tank on a large ranch. I can only view it with binoculars. Saw a gaggle of lessers approaching three days ago. I don't keep notes on it since I can't get an accurate count.
I won't get to scout the lakes until after next weekend.
My notes from last year had major populations of greys on lake 2 the first week of Nov.
I have seen no activity on the limited view of lake one.
Reports on areas that raise corn for silage are that the crop did not make this year. In general, this area is south of DFW

On tanks going west on 380. Loaded. The feilds are all a mess. Unless your in a polaris you should not even try to go. I nearly sank my 250. Had to unload my polaris just to make it to our cabin. Id let anything dry up at a minimum 1 more week.

Drove out to the Deer lease (Stephens Co.)this past Sunday, From Aledo to Breckenridge to Woodson: DID NOT SEE ANY DUCKS!! NOT ONE!! On any of the Tanks or small lakes! VERY UNUSUAL for this time of yr. (Especially on the Tanks that Seem to Hold Ducks All the Time). Got a Report that Lubbock was holding A LOT of Birds. Hopefully this next Cool Front will push some Birds Down.

I drove by a small playa lake headed to Lubbock today with 300+ ducks on it. More water than I’ve seen in 20 years out this way.
