Well I'm sitting on the couch barely able to love with a lower back sprain. I believe the original injury happened when I was finishing building my house with a dumb fall. Since then (early July) this is the 4th time I've been laid up. After the 3rd time I went to chiro he did some test on flexibility etc and thought what I was scared of herniated disc but an ex Ray showed a pretty bad sprain down low.
Anyone have any suggestions on getting through this? Exercise etc etc I'm not used to being this lazy. Yesterday I do not even know what I did.

Lower back can be tricky. Diagnosed with Sciatica. I started with physical therapy and muscle relaxers and I eventually had to have injections. It'll get hinky once in a blue moon if I lift something the wrong way. Rest works a good as anything now. My biggest problem now is cervical.

Hamstrings, quadratus lumborum muscles, psoas, tensor fasciae latae muscles, all may be in play...It could be something in the glutes, etc. Way too many variables to give you good advice. I'd go speak to a PT, or a MD, and get their advice. I will say I'd do heat and ice treatments 4 times a day, 20 minutes at a time, ending on ice...

Chiro's have there place, but with a fall and ongoing flare ups I'd go to a back specialist and get the scan. That is the only way you'll know for sure what is going on. I've been there own a dozen of those t-shirts.
My favorite muscle relaxer used to be Wild Turkey 101. I eventually had a doc get me on a cocktail of naproxen and soma. That ended up doing the trick without leaving me unable to think the next day.
Searching the world over for the perfect Chile Relleno.
