Pulling out this morning around 4:00 to hunt Young county I turned onto FM1171 going westward and saw a really pretty nice 3-4 year old buck, probably 8-10pt. right by the north sidewalk, maybe a 1/8 of a mile west of Bridlewood near Saddle Oaks subdivision. I knew there were deer near Lusk and Tour 18 but not all the way east to Bridlewood in Flower Mound proper. Nice surprise after living here for 15 years.

Man I used to be a police officer in highland village (thank god im not anymore) and really nice bucks would get hit by cars on 2499 north of Justin out by pilot knoll park. I saw one 8 point that was about 130” killed one time. Another motorist wanted to take it and I didn’t care but told him I needed to contact the GW first. The GW wanted a pic of the deer and when I sent it, he said “I’m coming to get it”.
