Just decided to buy one. Might as well. I haven’t done serious price shopping yet. Suggestions on who might have best price?

Best price I don’t know. I do business with SWFA. For me it’s worth the drive to go in person. Service is outstanding. Even when I’m annoying they are professional and may wind up handing me 6 or 7 scopes before I buy one.

The glass and firedot on that scope is outstanding. I understand that the duplex on it is different than the VX-6 hd duplex. You may want to look at both to find your preference.

I bought mine at Optics Planet about one year ago. You'll hear that prices are the same across the board, which I found to be true. However, Optics Planet had free shipping, and gave me a $100.00 gift card for anything I wanted. I decided to spend the $100.00 on a Harris Bi-Pod. Great Scope by the way, seems to create light. Really makes it bones at dusk, I have counted points on a rack on a deer that I couldn't even tell if it was a buck or doe without it. Also, you'll want the CDS from Leupold. Send them good data with good ammo and it will be spot on. I've posted some tests I've done at ranges from 100, 200, 300 and 400 and held dead on and dialed them all. Have put it to the real test on a coyote hunt last year.

On another scope, took about a week to ship, but I knew that at time of order. I've had good service out of Midway USA also.

Yes I agree. I ordered a VX-6HD last week along with rings and a leatherman total bill was around $1,600. They all showed as "in stock". After a week called them up to see where my stuff was since it haden't arrived. They said the leatherman was actually not in stock and they expected to get in 6 weeks or so. They said they would ship all items when they received the leatherman. I ended up cancelling the order and placed it through Midway and got my items 2 days later.

Great service for me out of Midway. If you search their catalog on line, they'll send you discount offers and incentives a few days later.

These bastards did this to me as well a few years ago so it’s not a new game. If I can’t get it local at swfa I’ll be contacting camera land.

Haven't heard of Sport Optics. Checked out their page. Free shipping and no tax are a win. Also saw a hell of a deal on VX5-HD, $599.00. No side focus,2-10x but a god price.
