I remember reading somewhere that the pixel fix only works in certain instances due to the nature of the screen and sensor technologies

I’ll see if I can find that write up

I have 2 dead pixels on my APEX

Try "fixing" pixels around it and see if that clears up the problem at all.

I know a dead pixel is annoying. They may service it for you, but don't be surprised if they say no. You have over 110,000 pixels.

I bought mine in June and it came that way. I had too much going on to return it and have to wait for it to be repaired or replaced.

Who’d you buy it from? Odd that it didn’t get checked before it left the shop . I’ve had an armasight, and a trijicon show up that way before. Didn’t do business with that particular outfit after that. What am I paying you for exactly? Taking my order and upcharging me???

Try this.

Pulsar pixel repair

Worked for me on my 3rd XP50. If you can't get it to work contact them for an RMA and they will send you a brand new scope once you ship yours in. Still have a couple of dead spots on the sensor itself though.

I’ve gotten rid of one I also thought the system didn’t work until I used my iPad with the WiFi a lot easier to see on a larger screen

You may not have a dead pixel at all. It's not uncommon (and I've seen it on a few Pulsars) to actually have some sort of dust/debris/particle etc that is sealed up in the unit and shouldn't be. It's usually a byproduct of manufacturing. This piece of debris can be tiny and it can bounce up during recoil and stick to the thermal core. Sometimes shooting it again will make it fall off but I've seen a few scopes where it never moved once it touched the core.

If it's large or in an annoying area, I'd definitely contact Pulsar about it and see what they say. You might even take a picture of it, even if it's a bad picture, and email it to them for them to see. They might be willing to replace/repair it for you, no matter if it's really a bad pixel or it's some sort of debris on the core.

If this ^ was the case would it still show up on the pixel fix screen? This theory actually makes since bc its not a perfect pixel shape

Fair question but that I can't answer precisely but last year I had a scope that had an odd shaped place on the screen like this and it covered the area of about 5 pixels and wasn't perfectly square on the edges so I figured it couldn't be just defective pixels. It showed up on the pixel repair fix screen and when I talked to the head of Pulsar's warranty dept. he said it was likely the debris that I mentioned above and they replaced the scope.

But with that said, it's still not proof that debris shows up on the fix screen....I haven't really thought it out that well and I'm not sure how all those features work. I'd definitely call up the Pulsar warranty/tech dept and see what they say.

So I went hunting last night and after shooting a couple times I noticed the “pixel” had moved over to edge of screen and seemed to change shapes. After shooting a couple more times it dissapeared completely. I guess it was debris of some sort... then , cooincidently I had and actual pixel go out later in the hunt and I went to pixel fixing function and it worked right away! Oh and. I killed
A good boar.

Forgive my friend. He bought a new pig sticker and wanted to try it out
