scratch on me GPS it showed Best times-Good times. With internet, they have APS for it now, have one downloaded.
Always carried, pen & small note book with me, sightings, scrapes, rubs, time, & such. When got gps wrote down cordanance.
Compairing my notes with what they say: Best times-Good times. Seldom matched.
Each place, set-up tis different from the next. Always went with: being in right place at right time.
Your thoughts & experiences on hunten-fishen predictions. Most tis going on moon-phases. scratch aint gonna see nothen if ya not out thar.

edit: bang my bad mod's, ment this ta go in Open Hunting Discussion.

Predictions don’t matter, I’m either gonna be out there or I’m not.

I watch the active feeding times when hunting predators but not so much on deer. Weather can override the active times but if weather is not an issue. It seems that we have the deer patterned to move when the feeders are activated.
Adios,
Gary

Was hopen Mod's would have moved this thread ta Open Huning Discussion section. Get more feed back, as said, my bad, it in photo.

cheers for inpute. As said take pen & note pad with & write down info. Noticed when got gps it had best time - good time & it often didn't match when seeing deer or hogs.
Each set up tis different.
On lease & south of house just went & hunted, ol school. Every one else twas high&dry on cold, windy, & wet, snow-rainy weather. Eventualy made me own box stands. First was in sections.
Scouted found good sign, twas big oak tree, made top, bottom, sides, in sections. Then put up in tree. Later started doing the corn , pvc type feeders, what i call mineral bricks, wallmart, brick size, apple, corn, acorn. Digg hole along side good trail, flush with ground. Later, made platform out of reach from hogs, deer could reach em. Did the food plots, borrowed garden tiller, less change ta landscape.
Does, usualy seen, mostly buck only hunting area's. Bucks would cycle the areas, evidence of sign, scrapes, rubs, tracks droppings. Before cams, used the sewing thread method. Tie one end ta limb, string accross trail , deer, would pull string in direction of travel. Checking at certan times could narrow time, & direction. Rubs can tell direction, sameas scrapes, direction of dirt.
rofl ya, i enjoy me time wondering about the woods, enjoy, friendly discussions, reason get on here.
Each hunting set up tis differant, pressure, plays bigger roll than moon phase. Just my 2cents Deer do pattern hunters, & change patterns to addapt.
cheers Apreciate your input, each has differnt experiances.
Right now harvesting crops around here, archery season, seeing lots of deer, NO set pattern of time.

Adios,
Gary

cheers been looking at the threads bout all the rain & flooding.
Corn feeders under water, food plots under water or two wet ta plant.
2cents Farm country here, have seen on here were some call em food plots, rofl (fake news)...
Thar B a differance.
Yet eating patterns dont change cause of the fields are wet. They use the corn fields as type sanctuary. Hot the acorn & other brows, moving later at night. Tis archery season. Slug starts in couple weeks, deer paterns will change due ta differant style hunting pressure.
Those execative hunters are gonna have ta change thar pattern, hunt the acorns & brows that's were the deer gonna be. Before the days of corn-protein feeders, & food plots.
Ya, still say: hunting pressure plays bigger roll in sightings over moon phase.
Deer DO learn ta pattern hunters.
On leases were on, most used big bang theory, deer get educated ta feeders, & food plots. Got invited ta bow hunt with young man, told me go site by old tree stand. Did little scouting on way, found deer, scrape, few rubs, set up their. At end of hunt met at truck. Told him found rub, scrape. He thought didnt know what was talking about. Said he'd been all over place, never seen rub, scrape. Had ta show him before he'd believe.
Were i was raised twas differant kind hunting.
Was hope ta hear from others, as said in op. bang my bad, thought this was open hunting discussion part of forum.

edit reason for timers on feeders, dinner bell. Have seen crows sit with beeks wide open waiten for timer ta go off.
Yet deer were educated.
