I've never used a shotgun on big game but holy moly did 00 buckshot work well. Action starts at about 2.40 minutes into the video.

That's better than any rifle. One shot 5 down.

It can work within its effective range very well. Most I ever got with a rifle was 4 in one shot

It can work within its effective range very well. Right. And this was an excellent use of the shotgun and buckshot for this distance, and also very importantly, from and elevated position. The shot was able to drop in at a good angle through the high backs of subsequent hogs that otherwise would have been shielded from the shot had the shooter been at ground level.

That was excellent. I have learned the thrill of buckshot on hogs from my tree stand (feeder is at 25 yards), it is a blast, much better than an AR15. And man them pigs are fast after the first shot. So many have the idea that the pigs are going stand there and let you keep shooting. The bottom of my feeder legs have lead pellet marks all over them.
