So I've been using a 6.5 Creedmoor lately and I love it other than it's so heavy to carry around all night. My brother-in-law bought a Wilson Combat 6.8 SPC and he let me borrow it for a while... hope he knows that I'm not going to give it back until the third or fourth time that he asks for it...hahaha! Here are my first hunts with the 6.8...

The 6.8 rocks, especially with the Hornady 120SST.

I love my 6.8. Paired with the Hornady 120 SST it’s a lethal combination. I just picked another 6.8 upper and I’m going to have Morgan cut it down and thread. It’s going to be my new SBR hog gun.

He hasn't asked for it back yet... but I also let all of his calls go to voicemail

And now YOU know why lots of us use them here in Texas!
I've had the best luck with ARP and Bison barrels in 6.8.

Do be wary of some of the early SPCI barrels with fast twist and tight chambers.

Little brother has a Wilson Combat 6.8 rifle. That is as nice a rig as I’ve seen. Shoots tiny groups with Hornady factory ammo.

You have discovered a gem! I’ve been exclulsively hunting with my two 6.8s for over 5 years now. Hogs don’t stand a chance. Deer, dogs, cats, et al. It will KEEEL! Best of luck! Factory 120 SSTs are the best unless you reload.

I used a 6.8 SPCII Remington B/A for years, and then finally got around to building a 7.2 X 39 on an AR platform. I love 'em both but prefer the X39 for rapid follow-up shots or ambushing large sounders. The piggies can't seem to tell the difference; dead's dead. . . banana

I have a 16” bull barrel Olympic Arms 6.8, I let my wife shoot it a few years ago (first time shooting an AR) she shot 3 times and had two holes touching each other (third shot went thru the same hole). The guys at the range that day could not believe it.

I have a Wilson Combat SS Match 14.75" barrel. Had it spiral fluted, trimmed 5.7 oz off, weighs just over 24oz
