For the sake of discussion your already at your hunting grounds and it’s going to rain all day heavier than a light drizzle. . The next day will be clear weather hunting

I can handle the snow, but the rain just makes things too tough on equipment.

I did last year. It wasn’t bad. A buddy and I put on the rain gear, jumped in the truck, opened a beer, threw out a dog and roaded her until she went on point. When she found bird we shot the rise and got back in the Truck. Three dogs got some exercise that day and we had something to do besides sit in camp. The guns got cleaned that night and were no worse for the wear. Not every dog in the box is made for this type of hunting.

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

I’ve done it before. A light rain is ok, heavy downpour runs me inside.

Don't like it and avoid if I can. Nothing sweeter than the smell of 2 or 3 wet dogs in the back of an SUV.
