Cabela’s Space Rain is good for what it is: lightweight, packable rain gear for the occasional shower. It is not durable and not enough for extended downpours in rainy country.
A lot of guys swear by Frogg Toggs as good inexpensive rain gear - especially for here in Texas.
Helly Hansen Impertech is among the best for serious rain country like coastal AK.

I use an Arcteryx Beta AR jacket and Mountain Hardwear rain pants, kinda pricey but they serve as multi-purpose gear for me (rain, wind, snow, sleet, etc.)

There are tons of options in raingear and the subject gets a lot of ink in the various forums.

REI is a great place to find rain gear for just about any hunting situation. You really don't need camo as long as you stick with darker colors and earth tones.

If you're looking for something lightweight, packable and durable then Mountain Hardware, Arcteryx, and Marmot all have something. REI has some really good offerings that can be a little easier on your wallet than some of others.

If you aren't worried about having to carry it, how small it can pack down don't plan on having to hike a lot in it, then it's hard to beat Frog Toggs.

Also don't count on breathable rain gear to keep you from overheating and sweating if you're on the move. The breathable membranes can move some moisture away from your body but not nearly fast enough to keep you dry inside the suit. Look for jackets with some type of venting system like pit zips to help keep you dry and comfortable. You also want to make sure it will be large enough to wear an insulating layer underneath it.

You can get effective gear for $100 or a little less. It should keep you dry from the weather but don't count on it being lightweight and durable.

The top of the line rain jackets and pants combos can easily get over $500.

I bought a Sitka thunderhead jacket last year, have used it in some pretty good rain on football Friday night this year. It is quiet, quiet enough for bowhunting for sure. It is waterproof. It is goretex so it does a great job with wet weather, has an ajustable hood which can be cinched around your head and has a small brim to keep the rain out of your eyes. Plenty of pockets that are also waterproof and quiet. All in all a very good piece of gear.

I wish I had the pants. With those and my waterproof boots I would be set for sitting in a good rain. I have wore jeans while sitting at football games and my pants got soaked but with the core being dry and wind protected I never got cold, even last night in the 60’s. Surprisingly my socks never got wet last night (it wasn’t raining that bad last night but was still wet enough) so maybe you could get by with some waterproof boots and gaiters. Have thought about that method and that would work great for stalking, but for Sitting in a tree, I think the pants would be helpful in a driving rain.

the Frogg Toggs is very good inexpensive rain gear. It is not by any stretch the quietest.

Would need more info... are you hunting a blind and just need something to walk in with or still hunting. Will you need them for cold weather as well?

Pacific Northwest/Alaska -I would add Kuiu Yukon, Sitka stormfront, Arcteryx Beta AR, Mountain hardware boundary, Firstlite storm front

I wouldn’t spent a dime in REI. They are anti hunting, anti 2nd and fake conservation.
