No, I don't have any and that's why I'm here. Anyway, chilly/rainy weather this weekend and figure it's a good time to bust out the crock pot. If any of y'all have a favorite I'd love to hear what it is. Thinking of throwing in some fajita meat, and maybe some onions, but beyond that I'm clueless. Help a girl out fellas.

I love Mississippi roast. Put a big roast in crock pot. Sprinkle a pack of Hidden Valley ranch mix on top. Sprinkle a pack of Lipton onion soup mix on top. Put about 8 pepperochini peppers on top. Put a stick of butter on top. Put on lid cook for about 8 hours. Pretty good stuff.

Lost me at Ranch dressing...
Small cans of Chipotle are your friends -
Pork butt in sweet rub + can of chipotle = pulled pork
Use chicken for pulled chicken
Beans of course with green chilies and seasoning meat
Stew and chili don’t translate well to crock pot, switch to Dutch oven
Shrimp creole might work-
Onions, celery, carrots, bell pepper sautéed in cast iron with lots of garlic, salt and pepper Pot of boiling salted zatarans seasoned water. High boil, throw bag of small (smaller is better) uncooked frozen shrimp for 1-2 minutes.
Put it all in crock pot and add a can of fire roasted seasoned chopped maters. Add wooster sauce, crushed red pepper flakes, chili powder and fire and smoke from Pendry’s if you got, habanero flakes for the kick, and sugar, salt and pepper. If you need a bigger batch, add another can of maters and adjust seasoning. You’re making a chili sauce that tastes near ketchup. Add a little ketchup if you like. A little shrimp goes a long way in this poor folks recipe. Serve over rice with garlic toast.
Pot roast -
You know the drill.
Swiss steak -
Brown a chunk of beef in cast iron and put in crockpot. Add a big can of whole (or chopped and seasoned) maters, chunks of celery, onions, bell pepper and optional carrots. This is a simple dish, just salt and pepper and veggies will do. Serve over rice.
I actually don’t use my CP anymore. My Dutch oven collection works better for me. Single pot cooking.
Cast I have a short attention spa

4 Boneless skinless chicken thighs cut into cubes 1 small white onion chopped 1 or 2 jalapenos seeded a chopped Half a jar of Old El Paso taco sauce A little bit of cumin 8 hours on low, then shred the chicken. Makes some pretty danged good chicken tacos served on tortillas and topped with whatever you like. Or roll them up and whip up some sour cream sauce for sour cream chicken enchiladas.

End of the world stew is what I called it. Seriously good! The recipe itself is also in the description.

No recipe, just a hit and miss. About 2 cups of pintos, washed and soaked over night, pork butt roast, can of Roteks, can of chopped tomatoes, salt pepper and a package of Williams chili seasoning mix. Stick it on low in the morning, and it will be ready by dinner time.
