I never saw a pig much less one charge. Guess I need to watch it again.

My favorite way to hunt hogs, by far...can’t say, I ever had the cajones to put a pig in distress call in my pocket while walking them up though...

Yea, that’s the thing, hogs are fast, and it’s hard to see a charging pig, in the thick stuff. You watch the undergrowth move, project where the pig is, and hope you are right as you are shooting! And if you are wrong just hope the pig doesn’t have cutters to rip your legs up...heavy chaps are a good thing to use, in this hunting situation. In open fields, hogs run for the hills, but when they get in the bedding areas, and swampy stuff, it’s a whole nother ballgame...sometimes they run off and sometimes they don’t. Positioning yourself near a tree helps if you get in a bind, and a dependable sidearm is always good to carry along, as well. So lawman, do a thread and explain how you get the hog sounds on your phone...I kind of like that idea...

Can you post a how to on downloading those call so to your phone? Most of them are just apps you can download. I have one called HogPro from the Apple App Store I’m sure android has some apps as well.

I bought a small thing that gives you all the basic hog noises, from feeding, grunting, piglets, frenzy etc... off of ebay. It fits right in your pocket easily, but I haven't tried it yet. I tried turning it on in the house and boy does it irritate the wife! I don't remember what it cost, but wasn't much.
