I noticed some very nice photos of the moon in the photo section here and I have not posted any photos in a while so thought I would try to take some. I have never taken any moon photos at night so I experimented with taking some on 2 different nights after seeing the success of others. Here are a few of the ones I took that I liked. Took some internet searches and doing settings adjustments as I took photos to find the settings I liked to get these photos.
First 2 were from Sept. 25 after the moon had been up for a while but still had some the harvest moon color left.


These 3 were taken 2 nights later after some rain storms moved off the east at dark. The came up but was behind the cloud bank. It made for some covered moon photos and one right after it cleared the clouds with the good color. The last photo is after it was up a good ways.
