Young man shot this 10 point last year. Small blood trail, but after 4 plus hours the trail was lost. I assume that lump is from last years wound. Located in Wood County.

That looks like it could be a seroma which could be from an injury or the wound. I do not know enough about seromas to know if that is the case. I do know they occur in deer that have not been shot also. Deer are pretty resilient and can survive some serious injuries. I have seen deer wounded from rifle shots or archery shots that would not seem possible for one to survive. Nice buck and hope he gets him this year!
