Recent rains have really scattered the doves in our territories. The Kingsville dove hunts have been marginal and action varies day to day. As fields are starting to dry out the hunting is getting a lot better.

Our Batesville/ Uvalde sunflower fields were holding a lot of birds (hundreds) depending on the area and distance from town. After the last cold front we gained some birds and lost birds in a few fields. We managed to have a really good shoot on Saturday (9/30). Everyone limited out. The hunt was over an irrigated sunflower field.

We have one more weekend of dove hunting left then we switch gears to whitetail hunts. If you have a corporate group or group of friends/family that would enjoy a good South Texas dove shoot, give us a call. Our calendar for 2019 is already starting to fill up!
