I found out this morning my wife and I drew out for the Balcones WMA. We're both excited to have gotten this hunt. I've hunted there before but its been 8 or 9 years ago. Anyone else get lucky?

Not yet, according to what I read, we'll be assigned our units when we arrive for the briefing. My wife is handicapped so I know that'll play a part on what area we'll be hunting.

Got lucky today too with a Mason Mountain deer permit. I never have any hope for the 2nd draw so today was a big surprise. I'm certain I'll have a good time.

I've been putting in for years but never gotten drawn. I consider this more of a donation than anything, but one of my good friends has been drawn for Laguna Atascosa twice in the last three years!

What dates did yall draw? We will be there Nov 16-18.

Does anyone know if they put groups in the same units? Or keep youth with adults together? I expect they will but I didn't think of this until I was looking at the units. some of them are one permit units.

Everyone from your party that submitted their applications together should be in the same unit.
