Hello all,

Does shoot through mesh on a popup blind mess with your arrow??? I use fixed blade broad heads.
I dont bow hunt much. Only a few times, then rifle season!

Do you guys shoot through it, or just leave it open???

Thanks

I have my open just enough for arrow flight clearance. Also, don't shoot through mesh with BP. A guy did that on an outfitters brand new pop up and shot through the mesh sending it all up in flame just as the hunter got out

Was interested, so googled. According to the magazine, the answer is Yes, but practice first.

I don't trust the shoot through mesh, and have just left it open. Also, I can't see as well through the mesh. I leave the mesh off and open the windows just enough to see and shoot through. I've had more luck in tree stands than ground blinds.

Ground binds are a great tool to use in the field. We don’t chance shooting through the mesh at all. Just push it down out of the way or just take it off.

Only way you will ever know is just shoot a few thru it and see.
You ALWAYS practice how you hunt.

I have shot through the mesh many times especially with turkeys. But...i do shoot a longbow and heavy broadheads that cut on contact, does not affect arrow flight at all. We did try a shotgun through the mesh once just to see and it burnt a big hole and was a wee bit loud inside the blind!

Mathews with fixed broad head through a tight mesh no problems. Your broad head is of course below your sight pin. Make SURE your arrow is above canvas material before you release. Otherwise all hell breaks loose.

I've shot through the mesh numerous times with no effect on accuracy that I could tell.
They were all close in shots of 20 yards or less so any deflection was minimal.
Just make sure the mesh is taught and not loose. and the arrow will pass through like a hot knife through butter.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Fixed blade, no worries. Killed many deer through mesh.
Big expandables could be an issue, tho. I've had those get caught on the mesh.
