Got drawn for GDE at Kerr this year in November after putting in for it for years and feel very lucky. Anyone have any tips, old maps, or other info from previous hunts. Please feel free to comment or PM me with anything. I will be the only one in my group. I understand MO ranch is close but it looks like they do not have RV sites and I will be taking my cabover camper. So I am thinking about checking into Kerrville-Schnieder park, comments or other suggestions? Appreciate the help guys.

My daughter and I hunted a compartment in the South East corner last season and we saw a ton of big bucks. She took a big doe, spike and a pig. (It was a management hunt) We by far saw more deer than anyone. One of the guys that works there traps pigs for different programs and said this is the only spot on the place that they ever put out supplemental feed so a lot of deer frequent it. Ask for the blind by the windmill where they trap pigs and I guarantee you'll see deer. It is at the top of a big hill and you can see a LONG way. I took some of the orange scented corn and some apple corn. The deer walked past the apple corn to pig out on the orange corn. We also saw some Aoudad but didn't get a shot.

It is quite a distance from the Kerr to the park. I would try to find something in Hunt. Would be a lot closer.

I have stayed at the Ingram Lake RV Park, it is about 25 minutes from the Kerr and is pretty nice. A lot closer than Kerrville.
