Broke key in my tractor. Got it out and have a second key but wondering if the broke one could be soldered or braised?

I have seen them brazed before to use temporarily until a new key was bought because it was the only key. They seemed like they would not last very long. Why not get another key?

Talked to the Kioti dealer where I bought it, they have them in stock.

Good deal on the dealer having them available!
Keys are usually brass and you may melt them trying to get them hot enough to braze. I would vote for solder and only use it long enough to cut another key if it still fit and worked.
