I have no idea how to judge Aoudad. I hope I spelled that correct. What do you guys think the length of this guy is. He doesn't seem to have very good mass. Is that just a genetic thing or is he just young. Thanks

The closer the horns to the body the nearer to trophy status.

His definatly pushing 30 inches, mass is tough on aoudad because they have such large heads, he's a great ram regardless.

That's a shooter for sure, I think he will break 30 inches "ground check to make sure". Chaps are another good way to estimate age and he has long chaps. rifle

Thanks guys. I've been looking at this pic for almost a year. I was pretty sure I screwed up not shooting that ram when I had a chance. Oh well maybe I will get another in a couple of weeks. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again

I would have pasted him. If he isn't 30, he is close.

Being that I'm not a good judge. I went by some advice I was told awhile back. I was told to look for a line on there shoulder where the tips of the horns rub. This line was a sure sign of trophy class. After I let him walk I realized I should of just gone with my gut. Oh regrets!
