For all of you wanting to make a trip to Menard County to fill feeders. I suggest that you watch the weather. It is still too wet to get around most of the county and more rain is predicted for this weekend. I am needing to get my dogs in shape for lion season and can't even get them in the woods.
Adios,
Gary

I don't know if the sun has been out for more than a couple hours in all of September. It's crazy. I'm in Concho County and we have new windfarm roads, but it's nasty off of them...real nasty.

After this Spring and Summer, I call that a good problem to have.

Silver spurs and gold tequila
keep me hanging on.
Pretty girls and old cantinas
give me shelter from the storm.

Can’t get into my lease in Comal county.

Tried yesterday....got about 15’ in before I backed up and called it a day

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

The far east side of Menard County hasn't seen the rain that the rest of the county has, but still plenty wet. We were hoping to get to the feeders this weekend, but looking unlikely at at this point.

Sounds like farmers, either too wet or dry. taz

No kidding... we are still at 5.4" total since the first week of October 2017.

Yup
It rained all day yesterday, a short break, then some more last night. It was mighty slimy driving to the blind this morning.
