Gonna be range use, hunting, or both?

Gen 1 Vortex Razor 11-33X would good, and would not break the bank. The trick might be finding a Gen 1.

I have the Gen 1 20-60X 85mm, and it is quite good, but it would be a pig to carry around hunting.

Like Fireman JG I have a Gen1 Razor HD Angled 20-60x85mm. It is really good but weighs about 4lbs. I wouldn't carry it to the deer blind. Elk hunting I wouldn't mind it strapped to my pack. My 8x Razor HD binoculars are unbelievable. I returned a $3k pair of Zeiss bino's when they had a terrible rollingball effect and poor edge-to-edge clarity.

The Razor HD line is a bargain for what you get.
