So far this past week over 8.5 inches. Tanks are not full but at least are now catching some water.

It is nice to see the tanks full.
About 8 inches here in Helotes. Only about an inch Hext, and we really need it there.

River is up some in town. Lake is going to need more than this to do a lot of good. Did you bankrupt Choushatta or they still operating. We are going week after next and did not know if they were still in business after you being there.

Glad to hear you are getting some good soaking rains. I am only at 1.20" total since Sept 3rd. here now. I was at .38" in Live Oak county when I went on Friday and it does not look like more than .20-.30" more since then on radar composite. If there is a hole in a shower, I am in that hole.

At my place in Zavala co we had only had 1.5” total since March. I had been hauling 3 rounds of hay to the buffs every 2 or 3 days. Finally gave in and had a semi load of very expensive rounds delivered. 2 days later the bottom fell out and we’ve had about 6” so far.

Sometimes you gotta spend some $ to prime the pump.

Thank you.
I washed my truck last Friday before I headed out of town, glad to do my part.

Had a good time, we stayed at the Grand. I saw Terry Bradshaw while we were there, he was filming a commercial. I did pretty good, won enough to buy 3 tons of protein. I hope you have a great trip.

If you bought 3 tons of double down you did very good.

I had 4.25” of rain this weekend on the Lee/Bastrop county line, we had rain all around this week but kept missing out so it was nice to finally get some.

All of our tanks are overflowing, the water is going around the dam on the far side. The shoreline is past where the small scrub mesquite is sticking out of the water. My guess it about 40 feet out of the normal bank.

This is today

This is the normal level. All that green grass is under water. The arrow in the lower left corner is about where the top picture was taken

I'm in Western Bastrop County near the Bastrop/Caldwell county line.
The rain has missed up almost completely until this week.

We got 1.3" Friday/Saturday and another 2" Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
We still had visible weather cracks on Saturday!
The ground was so dry that almost all of that soaked right in and barely started running off.
I did catch about 6" in my big stock tank but it's still 10-11 feet below full.

I need about another 2-3 inches to fill my stock tanks but Man, there are green shoots everywhere this morning and the cows are happy.
My hay field was basically done with no yield this year but is showing hope since this rain.

Cheers,

Had about 5 inches at the house this past week. Last night I mowed my grass.. in a driving rain at times, was getting so overgrown just had to get it done. According to Farm logs ranch in Duval Co. got 3 inches on sept 3 and 1.25 on sept 10.

Hard to imagine how dry it's been up there. These rains on a normal year would have had every creek and river rolling... Friend near Tarpley has had 17 inches and the Hondo finally came on a rise Sunday. I'm at 11.10. Only had 12 for the year before this started.
