I am looking for a day quail lease/hunt where I can bring my own dog with me to hunt. If it’s around Austin it will only be me and my dog and maybe my girlfriend but she won’t be hunting. If it’s near the hill country (Uvalde) I can get about 3 hunters total.

Day quail hunt is pretty much a thing of the past. "Quail hunters" are very conservative on killing birds ------ they have to hunt the same coveys for 4 months. "Day Quail hunters" are trying to get their money's worth and kill every bird they possibly can,, not uncommon to have land shot out within 2 weeks. Hence very few quail hunters will pay to day hunt, because the expectation is that there will be very few or no birds.

Not trying to shoot every bird I can... I just will not take the advantage of a full lease nor do I have 6-8 others that will go in on one with. Just trying to get my dog on more birds then what’s in the ranch. Thanks for the suggestions that didn’t do much!

Try NSTRA. The dogs love it. It's cheaper than a day hunt.

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

I’m on a lease that is 40 sections close to Patricia. It’s predominantly blues but we do have a few bobs. There are 25 spots and I think still a few openings. Very reasonable. PM me if your interested.
