Does anyone know where I can buy ammo for 28 Nosler. I just ordered one and now I am finding that no one has any ammo in stock. Please help. I really just need the brass. I intend to reload for it but it seems I can buy ammo cheaper in some cases than just buying the brass. Ideas?

I would prefer to buy loaded ammo for the first round so I can get comfortable with the gun and put some rounds down the tube before I start load development.

I would recommend the gentleman at Dallas Reloads as well. He's very helpful.

Thanks guys! The 28 Nosler is my top seller right now. It has also been shooting VERY good. I got a picture in from a guy who shot a 17" group at 2000 yards with my 195 grain Berger ammo. Smokin'!!!

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to find factory ammo for now so I can salvage the brass and reload it myself. I'm sure Dallas Reloads are incredible but I cant justify that price just to get my hands on some brass.

What do you mean by justify the cost? My ammo is priced almost the same as the factory ammo is, and it is loaded by hand, one at a time with the powder charge weighed out to .02 grains consistency. It's about the same cost as factory ammo for a precision loaded round. What's there to justify? I have several gunsmith's who buy my 28 Nosler ammo because the factory ammo shoots like crap in their custom rifles, and the poor factory ammo makes their rifles not shoot well. That tells me a lot right there.

You aren't gonna beat his ammo for the components and quality you are getting.

If you buy cheap factory ammo you are going to get cheap factory brass which isn't a good foundation to start your reloads with.

I meant no disrespect. What are you charging for your 28 Nosler? All the custom loads I have seen online were running $120 per box. That's the price that I cannot justify if I can buy factory loads for about $65 per box (if i can ever find them in stock that is.) If you are much less expensive than that I would certainly consider buying yours and saving the headache of wasting factory loads just to salvage the brass.

Not trying to tell Chad how to run his business because it’s his...but I would raise prices

60 for a box of 20 and he wants 190 for 50...his price is aligned with market, but I think his will be better (assuming your gun likes it)

No disrespect at all. I'm just trying to figure out what you mean. The 28 Nosler is one of those rounds it's hard to complain about the ammo cost. I got a call from a guy a few weeks ago who bought a really nice Weatherby rifle in 338 Lapua. He was all mad because the ammo cost was $4+ a round. I couldn't help that. There are some different brass options in Lapua, and we went that route to save some cost. But when you get a "Designer" cartridge that is proprietary to only Nosler, you are at their mercy of pricing. The cost on the brass is about $2 a piece, which is the bulk of the ammo cost. The savings come when you save the brass and reload the round. I'm at about $2.20 a round then, which is about 1/2 the cost of new. Here is a link to my web page, if that helps for pricing. I have everything in stock, except some of the Berger bullet options.
