After three consecutive years of 40+ inches of rain, looks like the drought has taken hold in NE Webb County. We've had 3.32 inches of rainfall ytd. Our deer are looking great, but all of our tanks are extremely low or dry. Gonna have to start hauling water to all our feeder locations. frown

Living in Texas is like living on the beach. It's not a matter of if there will be drought, but when. Same with hurricanes living on the beach.

Our tanks are about a foot deep. Been hauling water to feeder areas for a few years now. Rain blows up all around us, but nothing here.

Growing up I heard Texas weather explained as one long drought interrupted by periodic floods, which seems to be the norm for the western 2/3's of the state.

Good luck with your animals fouz. You're a good man for helping them out.

I mowed my tank today. The dam AND the part where water is supposed to be. I dug down over a foot with my FEL before I found any moisture at all.

In the end, it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years.

At our place in Runnels county we have only had dry tanks once since 1950.

Good time to dig them out. The acre tank behind my place is only holding 4’ of water. I’m fixing to pump it out and get that SOB back to 15’ when it fills back up. It’s silted in bad. Runoff depth is only 8’ after 40 years. I lost all of my big fish two weeks ago, low water and no wind. Buzzards had a hell of a feed.

Not good. Like stated above, a great time to dig them out though.

Looks like you may have gotten out of hauling water for now.

Good rain but it probably did not run much tank water unless it was a turdfloater in a short period down there.

I hope so...just not hurricane rain. Still not much rain in some areas and it is slow rains spread over several days also. Still a good rain to get things greened back up. Some areas got a lot of rain also.

I have had 12.75 inches of rain in the last two weeks. Now I hope we don't get a TS or hurricane. Tanks ar just about full. All that rain and it did not flood.
